a friend sent me something through the "PosLayu" express post, and while we both were expecting delivery on the next working day (because they "jamin sampai esok"), it did not deliver on time.. we have been tracing the status online for a couple of days and even sent an email to the customer service yet to no avail..
Read on :
now take a careful look at the date/time on portion A of the image above.. around 11:20am on the 4th working day, i checked the status again on my way back to office and FINALLY got some updates of the delivery as shown.. ah, took them 3 working days to handle the item!! how efficient!! well, you thought you have seen what's wrong?? okay, i checked the status at 11:22am and the system says "Arrive at delivery office" at 12:24pm.. read the time again, that was a future event logged in the system!! how could that ever happened?? indeed amazingly remarkable, don't you think??
now take a look at portion B of the image above.. i reached office 10 minutes later and there sticked this note on the glass door, informing that the item arrived at 11:15am but there was no one in the office to be delivered to.. okay, the delivery guy must have left and predicted that he will be bringing the item back and arrive at his delivery office right on the dot at 12:24pm.. well, on a positive side, at least with this note, i knew he came and not just simply updated the status and claimed he has visited..
and finally you must have forgotten about the email sent to their customer service?? nope, i have not.. a very generic (and almost indifferent) reply was received after 3 working days (what a gracious KPI huh??), with a print screen of the system that the item has been collected (yes, i went to collect the item personally from their office later).. i also know how to check the status online lah!! @.@"
now call this Express Post guaranteed delivery the next business day!! really BOLEH!!!
But usually I just check the process status and date, hardly check on the time, maybe when they scan it, they pressed wrong "process" button?? Got such thing ya???
Guess certain area like city or along the road one, those shop block, they can received the package faster de, if like those taman taman one, maybe they need to inter change from the national post office then to the sub post office then would be slower!
Usually I will check with the recipient after 2-3 days. Tark received then i will check online and email them. Hmmm...maybe i should start ranting at their FB and website like someone we know . Now they deliver his parcel very promptly
haha!! I'm very kan cheong one lor, I will check for the status very often until I receive or the other party received it.. I'll also look at both the date and time, to every details stated :p
Adui...what a tedious journey. Sometimes i really wonder they got come to deliver or not or just ask their colleague who is posman for the ara to stick the note into the mail box.
I had experienced it once when moved into the new area. come out of the house saw the attempted delivery note in the mail box . See the time, was at home ah? But tarak nampak the van pun.
not surprising also especially if that area is still new.. possibly they are not delivering but just update the system.. if they have visited then sure there must be a slip, that's the proof!!
STory 1 seems to be familiar. Dunno whether they have too many things or what but I have encountered a few times where i send an item, status not updated. Sometimes says the Item not in the system. If lucky it will be in the system where it said consigment received and sending for processing.....check next day still the same. Called up the recipient....say received already ...then check again the next day baru uodate system
STory 2 really bravo wor.....even if use WAZE estimate time of arrival also wont be so accurate mah. This one at 11.20am can already accurately predict arrive office 12.24pm. I wonder what system they using there. maybe i can see if got free apps to download or not ah. Like that i can accurately predict my time of arrival to places for meeting leh.
STory 3... wkakakakakakakakakakakakaka the nest joke on this Friday morning la.....
Supoosed to be one day delivery...dragged ill dunno how long. Then now send email to them have to wait 3 WORKING days for them to reply and after that reply liao is like tarak reply. Say item delivered only?
errr....what happen to the next day delivery policy ah? They didn't apologise? Can claim back money ka?
Your friend should have claim back money from them la. Janji tidak dicapati.
since talking about Poslayu ah....I also got one cerita. Once upon a time, I went to their JayaONe outlet to send two parcel. One Poslayu and one Titanic pos across the sea.
The poslayu was a card to a friend in Kajang. I put in normal card envelope la. Sampai counter, the girl...forgotten the name la....dunno Dyana or something INSISTED that i buy the RM6 docket and put in the card to send under poslayu.
I have sent card like that before from the Amcorp mall. No need docket pun and only cost me RM4.50. This one i ask the girl how much if dont want the docket? She INSISTED same price and must have docket.
As for the Titanic pos...not under poslayu la. But under same mother company. I already wrapped the packet nicely and the girl INSISTED for me to buy their blue plastic to put the parcel in. Cost 50 sen. Small amount but it's the INSIST part is the one that i didn't like. Took 2 mths for the parcel to aarive sarawak.
I have emailed them to complain on the INSIST part. After 3 days , received their standard reply " Please provide us with you Name, contact, ddress and the receipient name, contact and address". Woi...am complaining for attitude and already given them the parcels ID...They cannot trace from system ka? Oh ya hor...they maybe tarak update the system so cannot check la.
Given them the information...and till now...few months liao tarak any sound from them
but really "emm fun hei" ma. "Force" to buy the unnecessary stuffs. I know la. I had the option refuse to buy and walk away go other pos office. That would waste petrol and time lo.
yalah, how can they insist customer to buy something we do not want to?? but I thought the are providing the mailer plastic bag for free?? then why are the staff insisting you to buy?? that's not right..
Hahaha, they use Waze, get the ETA back to office and just updated it immediately kot. Those PosLaju deliverymen have a device that they can key in status updates wherever they are.
Friday evening baru send out, then Saturday to Monday are non working days (public holidays), technically it was Tuesday and Wednesday. Their "dijamin sampai esok" is on the condition if you drop off at post office before 12noon if I remember correctly, and esok is next working day. If you follow their fine prints, I think they did not drop the ball lah, your friend just did the delivery on the wrong day.
But then, you might think I'm defending PosLaju, but I'm not. I hardly use them anymore. Nowadays if I want to courier, I would go Nationwide Express or Citylink. They still make mistakes, but less compared to PosLaju. My PosLaju shipment once went to Malacca when it was intended for Pahang.
I tried GDEx once and never again, they don't even send to their regional office if failed delivery, the deliveryman called me and threatened to send the box back to Penang if I could not get the recipient to contact him, saying their SOP is not going through their regional office.
I agree with Realgunners, GDex is the worst I have ever met. I bought something Cotton On Singapore. The parcel is contained of RM250 apparel. But it reached us, we needed to pay extra RM90 for custom clearance. I want to @#$%^&*. Really KNS this GDex. It said if I didn't pay for the custom, it would send the parcel back to Cotton On. I think this GDex has some connection with the custom which we didn't know. When we google, actually a lot of people complained about the same thing happened to them with GDex.
Actually my parcel was not really that heavy and needed me to pay so much to the custom.
I had a terrible and unforgettable experience that I wish to share with everyone who wants to send or receive anything across the causeway! Some over 10 years ago, I was working for this HKG agency in KL and we had to send a CD across the causeway to the republic. The DeeeeHL courier had warned all senders that if it contains a CD, we must declare and it will be subject to checking by the customs there before delivery for any possible piracy or pornographic contents. That would take 2-3 days clearance delay! So, one day my boss had to send a CD to the newspaper there before deadline and didn't declare the CD. The customs found it and the whole container which carried our CD parcel had to be hauled up aside along with thousands of others. Goodness! The courier company got scolded by #$%@*# all the thousand senders!!! That's how strict their customs are but I do respect such efficiency & their respect for laws. The strengths of their currency today speaks for itself.
errr, Monday 5th is public holiday?? no lah, the gazetted national public holiday was 3rd, so if sent on 2nd then it should be delivered on 5th.. meaning they have lag for 2 working days which is 5th and 6th.. as for the cut-off time, I have no idea exactly what time but definitely not as early as 12pm.. if the status stated processing and sent out for dispatch then it should be the next working day and not two days late..
hmmmm, Gdecks?? I just happened to order something online and they use Gdecks as the courier.. I checked the status one day to see that the item was not delivered as there was no one in office, but then I didn't even see the notice slip!! that could mean they never come but just update the status on the system.. I did nothing and pretended I didn't know but already planned to belasah them later.. luckily they came the next day and deliver the item to me..
but my colleague wasn't so lucky, the item wasn't delivered for almost a month even after few times calling in to complain.. finally he called to cancel order and the next day Gdecks called to deliver.. too bad, please take it back because order has been cancelled!! how ridiculous!!!
Sounds very tricky the whole thing but usually I just can't be bothered to complain. I'd just sit there and wait for the goods to reach me.. Usually when ppl send me stuffs, very seldom from our Poslaju.. Usually Gdex or TaQBin or Citilink..
I will only log on to their system and track if I don't receive the item after many days.. But usually I will get my goods after two days, maximum. When I buy things online or shop online, the supplier will email or sms me the tracking number.. But usually I no track the goods dijamin sampai next day or the day after..
Our office uses Citilink, so if I need to send stuff to people, I'll use the company's account, then get the slip from the receptionist and pay bavk the company separately.. Senang..
I'm those very kan cheong type and will check the status after every few hours, hahahaha!!! but then I guess depends on luck also, sometimes they give really prompt delivery but sometimes really sucks!!! really dunno what to say lor, besides blaming this as the Bolehland services..
Hmm.. another stress factor in contemporary times. How nice if we can teleport stuff (and ourselves too). But then again, there'd be new stress factors associated with that. Life is so exciting (read challenging), hor? Happy Friday all the same! - Oh yes, and a wonderful Blue one at that too. ;)
errr... maybe I am stressful now thus I didn't analyse the entire story carefully. For story A, could it be they anyhow put the time there which is their estimated so-called time to complete it ? hahaha .... Afterall, they have to update the system and with that, they just anyhow enter some data. That's a possibility.
wah, why so stressful?? it's just beginning of the year?? hehe, calm down and enjoy life, okay?? well, that's the interesting part!! a status in a future time, hahaha, only in Bolehland kot?? :D
As for story 2, I had a lot of problems with boleh-land online order. Even for some expensive ones like D*L. They delivered an Ipad to me by 12pm but delay until 4pm then told me cannot make it...too busy on that day. Aiyo.. if you promise to deliver, you have to work OT to deliver, I don't care whether that;s your knock off time. Same as PosLayu... when they see no people, they leave a notice and ask u to go to their warehouse to collect , which I means I gotta drive a long way to Pasir Gudang!! That's the reason I don't do online delivery with these providers but some like zalora and amway were great!! Fast and responsible.
yalah really anything can happen you know?? that's why, nothing to blame but blame it on the Bolehland attitude.. only happens in Bolehland!!! boleh boleh boleh.. @.@"
Anyway, so far I don't have any problems in Singapore's deliveries. Mostly on time unless the provider delay. I bought stuffs from Qoo, Xiaomi and so on and no issues. Maybe Singapore is smaller also la... haaha
it's the efficiency and professionalism lah, which is almost very rare in Bolehland, we all understand that and already gave in, agree?? else you won't be working in SG..
OK, I feel your pain. I already spit on this service because they also messed me up. I ordered 4 books from MPHOnline. Because only 3 were available, therefore those reached me first by Pos Laju. No complaints there. Then the final book was delivered purportedly on 02-01-2015. I was on leave but my office was open and my colleague was in at the time when the Pos Laju guy purportedly came.
I email to MPHOnline and they gave me the tracking number. When I checked, the system log showed that nobody was around to take delivery! And best of all, they did not even leave me a note. I strongly suspect they did not come and the log is fabricated. Now my consignment is at the Kota Damansara Pusat Pos Laju. So inconvenient to go there!
yalah, the worst and most inconvenient thing is that we are not around when things are delivered and that we have to go somewhere so inconvenient to us to collect the things personally.. haiz!!
wait, I think we can call them up for second delivery at either another time or to another address.. have you tried that??
From your case here, obviously the "Dijamin sampai esok" is a lot of bull. Consignment was received and dispatched out from origin on 02-01-2015 and yet delivery process was only on 07-01-2015. What happened on 05-01-2015 and 06-01-2015? Dispatch all on leave ke?
before this express post, I had a registered mail from my friend in HK.. checked their system already arrived at the branch office for days yet they had not delivered to me.. so angry that I went to the branch office on weekend and collect it myself, and they told me that the posmen cuti so my item was not delivered "yet".. how ridiculous!!! they only have one postman??? so not valid..
As I have suspected that the 5th and 6th dates, saw the parcel being sent to the scanning department where they would have randomly selected suspicious looking items or subject to tax duties not paid.
The fact that you checked at 11:22am and system said the consigment reached delivery office at 12:24pm and the note said the attempted delivery at 11:15am makes me believe that the log is fabricated (like in my case, they claimed nobody in the office). Either that or they key-in wrongly.
At least you had a note on the door as evidence that the dispatch did actually come to your office. In my case, due to absence of such note, I suspect that nobody came and they just take the easy way out to make me go and collect it myself.
yes!!! that is not surprising they did not even bother to come but the status is updated as delivery failed.. the notice slip is the proof, if we get it means they came else how do they know we were not in to receive??
I have often come across postmen delivering wrong mails to my house often due to our roads having same names but the last digit number being different. Oh well, I am trying to point out that the courier services could have rang the wrong door bells and left their "I Was Here" note at the wrong house too.
I said this because I received wrong notes at my gate before. Nothing is perfect in this world.
I have already given up on emailing or calling these type of service providers (if you know what I mean) because you are basically wasting your time trying to communicate with a "wall". They don't bother replying to emails or in your case, reply late with obvious answers. And if you try calling hah..hah..the phone will ring and ring till kingdom come and nobody picks up OR if they pick up, you will be redirected and face another situation where your call won't be picked up.
yes, I somehow also gave in because we already know how they would response and take action.. but sometimes really cannot tahan and actually shoot them an email, I guess more of to release the anger than to ask for anything since we knew they won't do anything..
Tak Boleh!! No more!! I have sworn off their service. Use other well known courier service even if you have to pay slightly more. At least dijamin sampai and those guys can re-deliver when requested. This pos laju business, you have to go and collect the undelivered item yourself.
but frankly, this is one if the few isolated cases.. there were also many times I used their service and things were delivered the morning next day.. haiz, so dilemma huh?? hehe :p
Aiyo! I won't swear and give up so easily as we know it is a very isolated case. We must learn to look at everything in life like a big white picture and not focus on its tiny black dot.
I still use Pos Layu like nobody's business!! Time for me to make them layu too.
I agree that we should migrate if possible. The verdict yesterday made the nation gloomy and it rained today. The sun is even hiding sadly behind the clouds weeping in silence. Anay so emo talk. LOL
If the whole admin could be improved, we could even have the best postal services in the world to shout. These days we get real famous for a series of wrong reasons.
Story 1 - I found it hard to believe that they took 3 days to handle the parcel when their "Dijamin Sampai Esok" motto should be renamed "Dijamin Esok Tidak Sampai".....
I made you laugh!!! Well, I can say that you are the one who always teased and provoked me over the years in blog comments until my old devils came alive again.
I am still doing part time copy writing for my close friend's advertising agencies when they send SOS calls. I need to constantly think and write in flowery butterflies language.
Story 2 - He could be forgiven as he had done his job, though a bit too late.
Where did Thambee go and not in the office during working hours!!!!??? This need to report to HR Department that Thambee went to lepak & drink teh tarek with Anay somewhere downstairs...!!!
Story 3 - Your isolated case is a real eye opener for comparison with my case. I sent a heavy parcel to friends on 23rd December 2014 and believed that it could reach them before Christmas as a surprise. The post master made my heart sink and thold me it would only arrive them in Penang on Friday 26th!!! Bleh!! Meh!..
But... when I checked their tracking status everywhere few hours, I was damn so veli surprised that it reached them at 2.00pm next day - IN PENANG!!!!!!
Conclusion - I suspect that your sender's item had to be scanned by X-ray due to its shape and unknown suspicious content. They will not report this part in the tracking-updates. It was ridiculous that it was sitting idle for days.
I think you can ask the sender to re-send the same item again to you so that you can verify whether my theory is correct.
yes I didn't blame the delivery man as he has done his job, at least he really came to deliver and not just updated the status without attempting to deliver.. but I really wonder what was happening to the item on 5th and 6th??
yes, of course this is just an isolated case.. I have had many prompt deliveries using their service before actually.. but you know, we tend to magnify the negative than to amplify the positive huh?? at least your case is better, it's earlier than expectation!!! but was it really delivered on 24th??
I always order stuffs from online websites every month and they always liked to use FeDex which were all promptly delivered by the dates punctually. Still some bloggers complained not reliable. I do believe that DeeeHL is almost perfect in their services but not so cheap. You ask any Americans and they might salute UPS.
Over my years of working experience I heard that CityLink is the best local ones for delivery to remote places and towns real fast.
So far so good for me as my couriered parcels reached the recipients on time. But not with the normal post which could have taken ages to reach the other party.
you are lucky.. and nowadays I NEVER dare to send out by normal posts, must be at least a registered one if not express courier.. I have experienced one missing parcel that I intended to send to a friend in UK.. it just gone missing!!!
I had posted a wallet to a friend in Europe and I didn't register it. It got lost as my friend didn't get to see it. Another occasion was I sent a small teddy bear to Philippine and it got lost as I didn't register it too. It happened many years ago as I took for granted that they would be safe. Now not anymore. I must at least register it.
that was exactly the pain i have experienced before.. i sent something to a friend in UK in normal post, it got lost.. somehow i suspect the staff actually took it instead of processing the post.. since there, i always get my things registered..
It is so puking to hear that mails often got lost when sent overseas esp when there are small gifts inside. The postal service tend to turn on blind eyes to everything unless we registered for a mere RM1 plus. What happens to undelivered mails in overseas? Over here, I know they could be found being thrown at the cemeteries!! Now both SK and Wenn's lost mails got me asking whether they were lost in our country or overseas? Tsk! Tsk!
Like RG says, have to read their fineprint to see what actually is their SLA. I am too lazy to read their fineprint. I just make sure if I use post laju I go to the post office early on a working weekday at the start of the week, don't want to hit the weekend. Your friend should ask for compensation if they did not meet the SLA.
well, who would read that?? or rather shall I ask, do they have one?? or if they have one, most probably that's just a formality that is never adhered to.. you get what I mean?? and I am sure they have spent "millions" to hire professionals to draft the setvice agreement to side themselves.. this is Bolehland..
Your pop up box, I cannot scroll down to get to the submit button. I am using chrome browser so I can't answer the questions on the pop up box about a gathering of bloggers. Can't even get to your post to read. Have to click the direct link in my email to access your post to read it. Just let you know lah in case you are wondering why I never answer your survey. Anyone else have this same problem?
thanks for highlighting this to me!! my first guess is that your screen resolution is not big enough, mine is 1440x900, haha!! anyway, if you cannot scroll then this is the direct URL for that survey page:-
I used PosLayu very often ever since I started my online business. Luckily, so far nothing unhappy happens to the deliver process, the only unsatisfactory I have is their service at the counter, that's it.
Anyway, I know sure got complains about this postage company as I heard from my friends. But everyday, still lots of people choose this postage company wo... I guess that's because the charges is cheaper compared to others? Erm I never try other postage company like ABX/GDex and etc (but I receive items from them), may be they are slightly better when it comes to delivery? But may be charges are higher? I think PosLayu's charges is the most 亲民 one la.. The tracking system sometimes I find it sot sot tei also... And they have like more than one portal to track the parcel.. Sometimes don't know which is the correct one.
This jamin sampai esok ho, actually got terms and condition la, so you cannot always expect it to happen everytime.
But I appreciate that they operates even on Saturday.. Sometimes some parcels are quite urgent to the customers ma.. But first Saturday is off la.. Then the rest all operating.
yalah though many complains we still use it a lot, just like we still have to live in this country, hahaha!! and I think another reason is because they are more convenient with a lot of branches lor.. actually I consider this as an isolated case, still many times they deliver on time lah.. but you know la, humans always magnify problems but not amplify the good things mah, haha!! anyway, will this stop me from not using them?? no lah, we are used to all these service already and complaining is just to release anger since we know that won't do any help also.. agree??
glad that they did not give headache to your online business delivery.. you are lucky lah.. :)
Yala, most of the time they are ok one, like I said, just the counter service irritates me only, the rest all I no complains one. But at Taiping there's only one Pos Layu office, of course we can go post office to send but have to wait even longer, cause that counter is not specifically for Pos Layu only ma. So die die also must go to the main office.
I am so surprised to hear that there is only one Pos Layu office in Taiping. Your hometown is not that small as it looks well spaced out to me with a number of housing areas. I need to visit Taiping again to see the whole town development once again and have picnic by the Lake Gardens.
Wahahaha, like so tricky one, something wrong with their system, maybe???
ReplyDeleteBut usually I just check the process status and date, hardly check on the time, maybe when they scan it, they pressed wrong "process" button?? Got such thing ya???

Pos Laju is slow and bad in the service, anyway it will not have so much custom issue on the customers.

DeleteGoodness, thankfully I did not courier anything across the causeway before. But I do agree with you on their efficiency!
DeleteI had bad experience with GDex, until now I still ban shopping with Cotton On online and GDex the express delivery.
Deleteerrr, Monday 5th is public holiday?? no lah, the gazetted national public holiday was 3rd, so if sent on 2nd then it should be delivered on 5th.. meaning they have lag for 2 working days which is 5th and 6th.. as for the cut-off time, I have no idea exactly what time but definitely not as early as 12pm.. if the status stated processing and sent out for dispatch then it should be the next working day and not two days late..
Deletehmmmm, Gdecks??
OMG!! what a nenek kebayan comment I can make this as a standalone post!!! :D
DeleteGood morning bloggers.. Tuk-tuk-ing from my phone.. I'll come back later..
ReplyDeleteSounds very tricky the whole thing but usually I just can't be bothered to complain. I'd just sit there and wait for the goods to reach me.. Usually when ppl send me stuffs, very seldom from our Poslaju.. Usually Gdex or TaQBin or Citilink..
DeleteI will only log on to their system and track if I don't receive the item after many days.. But usually I will get my goods after two days, maximum. When I buy things online or shop online, the supplier will email or sms me the tracking number.. But usually I no track the goods dijamin sampai next day or the day after..
DeleteOur office uses Citilink, so if I need to send stuff to people, I'll use the company's account, then get the slip from the receptionist and pay bavk the company separately.. Senang..
DeleteSo errr, actually today I got run out of topic mou coz you are talking about Poslayu and I'm talking about Citilink. hehe..
DeleteI'm those very kan cheong type and will check the status after every few hours, hahahaha!!! but then I guess depends on luck also, sometimes they give really prompt delivery but sometimes really sucks!!! really dunno what to say lor, besides blaming this as the Bolehland services..
DeleteHmm.. another stress factor in contemporary times. How nice if we can teleport stuff (and ourselves too). But then again, there'd be new stress factors associated with that. Life is so exciting (read challenging), hor? Happy Friday all the same! - Oh yes, and a wonderful Blue one at that too. ;)
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend to you too!
Deletehow nice if we have have access to flo channel like Harry Potter ....:(
Deletehahaha!!! teleport like Doraemon's Anywhere Door?? hihihi, I would love to have that so badly.. :p
Deleteerrr... maybe I am stressful now thus I didn't analyse the entire story carefully. For story A, could it be they anyhow put the time there which is their estimated so-called time to complete it ? hahaha .... Afterall, they have to update the system and with that, they just anyhow enter some data. That's a possibility.
ReplyDeletewah, why so stressful?? it's just beginning of the year?? hehe, calm down and enjoy life, okay?? well, that's the interesting part!! a status in a future time, hahaha, only in Bolehland kot?? :D
DeleteAs for story 2, I had a lot of problems with boleh-land online order. Even for some expensive ones like D*L. They delivered an Ipad to me by 12pm but delay until 4pm then told me cannot make it...too busy on that day. Aiyo.. if you promise to deliver, you have to work OT to deliver, I don't care whether that;s your knock off time.
ReplyDeleteSame as PosLayu... when they see no people, they leave a notice and ask u to go to their warehouse to collect , which I means I gotta drive a long way to Pasir Gudang!!
DeleteI don't know what to say about story 3 except *face-palm* .....
ReplyDelete... and sighing "Bolehland"!!! xD
DeleteAs a conclusion, if can afford it, try other services but they could be more expensive but should be reliable.
ReplyDeletewell I won't guarantee other services will be better.. it's not about which company but the attitude of the people~~
DeleteAnyway, so far I don't have any problems in Singapore's deliveries. Mostly on time unless the provider delay. I bought stuffs from Qoo, Xiaomi and so on and no issues. Maybe Singapore is smaller also la... haaha
ReplyDeleteSg one is better I guess...
Deleteit's the efficiency and professionalism lah, which is almost very rare in Bolehland, we all understand that and already gave in, agree?? else you won't be working in SG..
DeleteChris Au - Anyone could answer the winner between "BolehLand Vs KiasuLand".
DeleteOK, I feel your pain.
ReplyDeleteI email to MPHOnline and they gave me the tracking number. When I checked, the system log showed that nobody was around to take delivery! And best of all, they did not even leave me a note. I strongly suspect they did not come and the log is fabricated. Now my consignment is at the Kota Damansara Pusat Pos Laju. So inconvenient to go there!
yalah, the worst and most inconvenient thing is that we are not around when things are delivered and that we have to go somewhere so inconvenient to us to collect the things personally.. haiz!!
Deletewait, I think we can call them up for second delivery at either another time or to another address.. have you tried that??
From your case here, obviously the "Dijamin sampai esok" is a lot of bull. Consignment was received and dispatched out from origin on 02-01-2015 and yet delivery process was only on 07-01-2015. What happened on 05-01-2015 and 06-01-2015? Dispatch all on leave ke?
ReplyDeletebefore this express post, I had a registered mail from my friend in HK.. checked their system already arrived at the branch office for days yet they had not delivered to me.. so angry that I went to the branch office on weekend and collect it myself, and they told me that the posmen cuti so my item was not delivered "yet".. how ridiculous!!! they only have one postman??? so not valid..
DeleteAs I have suspected that the 5th and 6th dates, saw the parcel being sent to the scanning department where they would have randomly selected suspicious looking items or subject to tax duties not paid.
DeleteThe fact that you checked at 11:22am and system said the consigment reached delivery office at 12:24pm and the note said the attempted delivery at 11:15am makes me believe that the log is fabricated (like in my case, they claimed nobody in the office). Either that or they key-in wrongly.
ReplyDeleteyes, it's like they already predicted they cannot deliver and can bring the item back to the branch office at 12:24pm sharp!! so "magical"!!! @.@"
DeleteKesian SK...
ReplyDeleteI guess next time, better use private courier service instead lah...
aiyoh, the private courier susah buat arrangement lah, especially when ada volume, hahah!!!
DeleteThe safest mode is our own hand delivery or using despatch services.
DeleteAt least you had a note on the door as evidence that the dispatch did actually come to your office. In my case, due to absence of such note, I suspect that nobody came and they just take the easy way out to make me go and collect it myself.
ReplyDeleteyes!!! that is not surprising they did not even bother to come but the status is updated as delivery failed.. the notice slip is the proof, if we get it means they came else how do they know we were not in to receive??
DeleteI have often come across postmen delivering wrong mails to my house often due to our roads having same names but the last digit number being different. Oh well, I am trying to point out that the courier services could have rang the wrong door bells and left their "I Was Here" note at the wrong house too.
DeleteI said this because I received wrong notes at my gate before.
ReplyDeleteyes, I somehow also gave in because we already know how they would response and take action.. but sometimes really cannot tahan and actually shoot them an email, I guess more of to release the anger than to ask for anything since we knew they won't do anything..
DeleteTak Boleh!! No more!! I have sworn off their service. Use other well known courier service even if you have to pay slightly more. At least dijamin sampai and those guys can re-deliver when requested. This pos laju business, you have to go and collect the undelivered item yourself.
ReplyDeletebut frankly, this is one if the few isolated cases.. there were also many times I used their service and things were delivered the morning next day.. haiz, so dilemma huh?? hehe :p
DeleteAiyo! I won't swear and give up so easily as we know it is a very isolated case. We must learn to look at everything in life like a big white picture and not focus on its tiny black dot.
DeleteI still use Pos Layu like nobody's business!! Time for me to make them layu too.
Change courier service the next round?
ReplyDeletechange country would be better.. muahahahaha!!! xD
DeleteI agree that we should migrate if possible. The verdict yesterday made the nation gloomy and it rained today. The sun is even hiding sadly behind the clouds weeping in silence. Anay so emo talk. LOL
DeleteIf the whole admin could be improved, we could even have the best postal services in the world to shout. These days we get real famous for a series of wrong reasons.
Good Afternoon Bloggers!
ReplyDeleteThis post is obviously not a new thing about the layu services of the postal service. However, the length of time for delivery was a big question now.
Story 1 - I found it hard to believe that they took 3 days to handle the parcel when their "Dijamin Sampai Esok" motto should be renamed "Dijamin Esok Tidak Sampai".....
DeleteMuahahahahaha
muahaha!!! Anay's CB mouth!!! I like this new motto for them, so straight to the point and describe them well~~ :p
DeleteI made you laugh!!! Well, I can say that you are the one who always teased and provoked me over the years in blog comments until my old devils came alive again.
DeleteI am still doing part time copy writing for my close friend's advertising agencies when they send SOS calls. I need to constantly think and write in flowery butterflies language.
Story 2 - He could be forgiven as he had done his job, though a bit too late.
ReplyDeleteWhere did Thambee go and not in the office during working hours!!!!??? This need to report to HR Department that Thambee went to lepak & drink teh tarek with Anay somewhere downstairs...!!!
Story 3 - Your isolated case is a real eye opener for comparison with my case. I sent a heavy parcel to friends on 23rd December 2014 and believed that it could reach them before Christmas as a surprise. The post master made my heart sink and thold me it would only arrive them in Penang on Friday 26th!!! Bleh!! Meh!..
DeleteBut... when I checked their tracking status everywhere few hours, I was damn so veli surprised that it reached them at 2.00pm next day - IN PENANG!!!!!!
Conclusion - I suspect that your sender's item had to be scanned by X-ray due to its shape and unknown suspicious content. They will not report this part in the tracking-updates. It was ridiculous that it was sitting idle for days.
DeleteI think you can ask the sender to re-send the same item again to you so that you can verify whether my theory is correct.
What? SK still not yet receives the parcel. Oh no! Then I become very suspicious. I wonder whether SK will disclose the item after he has received.
Deleteyes I didn't blame the delivery man as he has done his job, at least he really came to deliver and not just updated the status without attempting to deliver.. but I really wonder what was happening to the item on 5th and 6th??
Deleteyes, of course this is just an isolated case.. I have had many prompt deliveries using their service before actually.. but you know, we tend to magnify the negative than to amplify the positive huh?? at least your case is better, it's earlier than expectation!!! but was it really delivered on 24th??
Yannie can dream on for the unanswered questions from SK. I can share with you that the parcel's contents have reached both our tummies. Burp!
DeleteMoral of the story: use private postal service if need a reliable man to do ur delivery. LOL!
ReplyDeleteprivate postal service?? any to recommend?? haha..
DeleteI have gone through a few experiences but not with poslaju but with some other courier service... mother's day comes very belated... hahaha..
ReplyDeletehaha I guess everyone of us have had such experience huh?? that explains a common problem with local services!!!
DeleteI always order stuffs from online websites every month and they always liked to use FeDex which were all promptly delivered by the dates punctually. Still some bloggers complained not reliable. I do believe that DeeeHL is almost perfect in their services but not so cheap. You ask any Americans and they might salute UPS.
DeleteOver my years of working experience I heard that CityLink is the best local ones for delivery to remote places and towns real fast.
So far so good for me as my couriered parcels reached the recipients on time. But not with the normal post which could have taken ages to reach the other party.
ReplyDeleteyou are lucky.. and nowadays I NEVER dare to send out by normal posts, must be at least a registered one if not express courier.. I have experienced one missing parcel that I intended to send to a friend in UK.. it just gone missing!!!
DeleteI had posted a wallet to a friend in Europe and I didn't register it. It got lost as my friend didn't get to see it. Another occasion was I sent a small teddy bear to Philippine and it got lost as I didn't register it too.
DeleteIt happened many years ago as I took for granted that they would be safe. Now not anymore. I must at least register it.
that was exactly the pain i have experienced before.. i sent something to a friend in UK in normal post, it got lost.. somehow i suspect the staff actually took it instead of processing the post.. since there, i always get my things registered..
DeleteIt is so puking to hear that mails often got lost when sent overseas esp when there are small gifts inside. Tsk! Tsk!
DeleteGoatness gracious..
ReplyDeleteLike RG says, have to read their fineprint to see what actually is their SLA. I am too lazy to read their fineprint. I just make sure if I use post laju I go to the post office early on a working weekday at the start of the week, don't want to hit the weekend. Your friend should ask for compensation if they did not meet the SLA.
ReplyDeletewell, who would read that?? or rather shall I ask, do they have one?? or if they have one, most probably that's just a formality that is never adhered to.. you get what I mean?? and I am sure they have spent "millions" to hire professionals to draft the setvice agreement to side themselves.. this is Bolehland..
DeleteYour pop up box, I cannot scroll down to get to the submit button. I am using chrome browser so I can't answer the questions on the pop up box about a gathering of bloggers. Can't even get to your post to read. Have to click the direct link in my email to access your post to read it. Just let you know lah in case you are wondering why I never answer your survey. Anyone else have this same problem?
ReplyDeletethanks for highlighting this to me!! my first guess is that your screen resolution is not big enough, mine is 1440x900, haha!! anyway, if you cannot scroll then this is the direct URL for that survey page:-
Deletehttp://sk0617.ueuo.com/survey/bg2015.php
Hmm very sorry you experienced this...
ReplyDeleteI used PosLayu very often ever since I started my online business.
Deleteyalah though many complains we still use it a lot, just like we still have to live in this country, hahaha!! and I think another reason is because they are more convenient with a lot of branches lor.. actually I consider this as an isolated case, still many times they deliver on time lah.. but you know la, humans always magnify problems but not amplify the good things mah, haha!! anyway, will this stop me from not using them?? no lah, we are used to all these service already and complaining is just to release anger since we know that won't do any help also.. agree??
Deleteglad that they did not give headache to your online business delivery.. you are lucky lah.. :)
Yala, most of the time they are ok one, like I said, just the counter service irritates me only, the rest all I no complains one.
DeleteBut at Taiping there's only one Pos Layu office, of course we can go post office to send but have to wait even longer, cause that counter is not specifically for Pos Layu only ma.
So die die also must go to the main office.
Haha ya, so far so good to my online business ;)
I am so surprised to hear that there is only one Pos Layu office in Taiping. Your hometown is not that small as it looks well spaced out to me with a number of housing areas. I need to visit Taiping again to see the whole town development once again and have picnic by the Lake Gardens.
Delete通常啲甚麽速遞統統都要等上2日或以上,因此我寧願選擇普通郵寄,經濟兼穩陣。
ReplyDeleteI used to engage DHL for our office's deliveries, they are very professional
