My Days in Hong Kong the Pearl of the Orient
i was rushing to use up my photo printing vouchers before they expire.. since there is no recent photos quite nice to use, i searched and dug my folders for old ones.. and boy, those photos of my past-years trips certainly bring back lots of nice memories.. among those, one that i did not include in my trip review series is my days in Hong Kong.. okay, that was not a trip to be precise, but i was actually sent by my previous company to work in Hong Kong in 2006.. of course besides work, i took my own sweet time to go around to see the place, but before i could explore more, i was summoned back to Malaysia in 2007.. i think many readers do not know about my HK experience, and those who followed my blog back then are all gone or no more active, haha!! so, maybe it's good to mention about it again now?? below are some of the places i went, and a tiny portion of photos i took back then.. oh, i really miss this place and friends there!! and boy, i was so slim and young then~~

    14. Good Afternoon bloggers! i am late again. I was busy at site meeting where the new Taylor's coming up in Puchong. Mana tau LDP jammed from Sunway till Putrajaya because some one was lying on the road after an accident that involved so many parties cos I saw ambulance and so many policemen. Scary!

Above comments kena potong markah but I am wise to type relevant comments now....

Aha! The photos are very interesting! My Thambee looked so skinny like a lizard! But honestly he looks more handsome and prosperous today! I just saw him yesterday and he still smells like fresh lavender blooms! I like Hong Kong for some reasons though it is crowded and stress to live there. The longest I ever stayed was at my sister's lovely house in Yee Keng Wan (Discovery Bay) @ Lantau Island. The whole Mat Salleh community lived in the Spanish styled homes that dotted the hills and overlooked the sea. It was a marvelous lifestyle but my sister's ditched her hubby, so good bye house!

    15. Oh TM, Oh TM, how could I not love you the most. Thanks for reminding and pulls us back from out of topic mode...hehehe.
Same like you, I love HK for some reason too. Because that was my first free and easy trip with my dear dear. Just Hubby and me! Sweet hor?

      Delete
    18. BTW Thambee...

You were in India for how long ah last time? Lupa la. Lazy to check. Hehhe

      Delete
    19. Because at first I saw the English version has two Stanley then felt so weird, so I click on the Chinese version to see lo!

Your blog post is very short, so I usually read the both version, English version to learn English, Chinese version to learn Cantonese, hehe!!

Bank of China?? Hehe, What a coincidence, I'm drawing it right now =p

      Delete
    20. @ Chris: going back to work in HK?? very unlikely, but going there for leisure, definitely, haha!!

      Delete
    8. yeah, agreed. In fact, there are a lot of Pearl of the Orients around ... aiya... to me, most importantly, they maintained the place well and create more tourists' attractions. Then, whether pearl or no pearl, tourists still flock to the place.

      Delete
    9. Not will be.. but already started and finished with "See You in 2015". Somehow saw one naked man who looks like TM running in the relay? hehe. Salute the two ladies in the naked sports.

      Delete
    11. yeah, very true.. whatever title is just superficial lah, the important thing is how well they maintain the place and how tourist friendly the place is.. so i guess Bolehland still got a lot of room to learn :p

oh yeah, i just read the paper and only knew that it has already happened and ended, haha!! so Mak Glam knows the people in that group?? wow~~

I also took the tram many times, as my hostel front is the tram so first few days when I got there, I sit from the first end station to the last end station...wahaha~~~ So crazy was I!!

    8. haha, yeah, i try to travel once in a year to pamper myself lah.. yet so many places and countries that i have not yet visit leh~~ and the posting to HK is surely a good experience for me.. of course i had nice food, but then i am not a food blogger, so i didn't actually take food photos, furthermore i was working there and not on leisure, so things were actually more routine, and no point blogging about food i eat everyday right?? hahaha~~

    10. errr, got people do that doesn't mean i must follow mah, i am not a mainstream blogger, muahahahahaha!! just like you said, my experience is different, i went there to live and work but not travel, so the mood is totally different.. if i blog about wantan noodles, roast chicken, dimsum all the time, if readers are not bored, i definitely would be the first one to get sick of them, hahaha!! that's why, i salute bloggers who can do that!!

    1. ah, would be nice to bring your kids to Disneyland, and Ocean Park probably is more suitable for adults.. oh, Cheung Chau is a nice place to go, i've been there 3-4 times because when i had friends visiting, i'd bring them there, haha!! not only prawn paste, they got more to see and buy and eat.. they are most famous for the Pau Festival in May every year..

    3. ALamak... if fated to die, anywhere also can die Chris.

We Muslims believe that the way/time of us dying is already written. Cannot escape. Die, die lor. Some in peace. Some tragic. Depends how "lucky" we are.

We cannot control the airlines what. You take ferry also can sink like the one in Korea. take car also can die road accident.

    6. True also la ... even in cab can met with accident ....but touch wood! But somehow, there's this psychological feeling there about flying after these incidents. Not just me , my wifey and even my kid ! I asked him if he wanted to fly or cruise , he says no to all.

  21. Talking about Ocean Park missed the "Dragon" roller coaster twice. First time it rained heavily the 'Dragon' takes a break due to safety. Second time we 'lost' an old lady who did not follow us without informing but remained at base coz she was scared to take the cable car.

Need to do some searching and Sentosa Island, Spore came into mind as that old lady was scared becoz of that recent accident in Sentosa was still fresh in her mind.
