My mom only studied until Form3 ( has to came out early because need to earn extra living to the family) and my Father until Form5. Those days like my parents, they said can go to school to study is very lucky already. Furthermore, only got money students only can go to school to study. So for those who are very fortunate that can really go school to study – they really pay attention in class, listen to teachers and trust them too – Cos their parents are busy with work and some doesn’t go school to study before. My father get better job as an office clerk (which last time is very geng already if can work in the office)… Well my mum was an operator in Sanyo factory. Compare to now, to get a job must at least has a Form5 paper. When comes to present, we as parents also busy with works… is good also that they will listen to the teachers. Hehehe… Very common lar, my son came back from school will always said “Teacher said this and that”…. HahahaAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07710484000863586238noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23963594.post-15235364592285574362014-05-21T12:16:17.764+08:002014-05-21T12:16:17.764+08:00Teacher’s Day is a day that we appreciate their ef...Teacher’s Day is a day that we appreciate their effort. It is not wrong that having a celebration for them… They deserve that. I think last time, also got celebration too. I remember that my mom bought a few stalk of rose for me to bring to school for the teachers who taught me. Maybe probably last time, not expensive as nowadays.
For myself, I think we should do something for the teacher too. Tak kan we want our son brings nothing to school, am I right? In directly, it really helps the teacher to remember which student give the present to them. There are some school, that students need to bring their own food for the celebration. My son’s school is a lil bit different celebration. Whereby, my son told me his male teachers went down to the field and play rugby… No class that day but watching their teachers playing games and so on…
I have a few friends of mine are teachers, nurseries, Primary and Secondary also got. Some received very expensive present like bags (not branded but will it be far too much?) and even perfumes too. OMG!!! Parents don’t have to do that actually. Or maybe the parents probably bought it long time ago and no chance to use it and so wrap it up again as if like a new gift for the teacher. Recycled mar…Kekeke.
What I bought for this recent Teacher’s Day? – Pens, Highlighter, Note pad, Glue and a Snickers chocolate bar. Simple and yet useful. Ever since from the first day of school, I notice the teachers (most of them) stick/ glued a lot of working sheets on my son’s exercise book. My friends and I can actually observe whether the teacher got “liu” or not – experience teacher or a good teacher. Muahaha…. Usually will happen to those trainee teacher… they are fresh. In the past teachers will try their best to take many test papers for their students to do revision and so on. I remember my Economic teacher which is my Form 6’s Form Teacher. She always give her very best information and knowledge for us… every time got tips for us one. But somehow there are few male student in my class was making fun of her and not paying attention in the class, while she is teaching. She ignored them and continue to teach us…but one day she can’t control and scolded them. Burst out with tears sum more… pity her. Then after that incident, those male students will respect her although sometimes, they feel bored with the subject…. Another past incident, was in tuition centre. Same again lar…male students were playing and havinf fun behind the class while this teacher teaching Maths showing us the steps in front of the white board… This teacher also very kind and until one day she kenot tahan anymore.. very angrily ask them to get out from the class. Simple to say: teachers are willing to teach us because they knows all the hard knocks they face last time and tries to pass down the best knowledge for their students… some will appreciate some are not.
For the present time… teachers are more materialistic… not all but there are… Just like those lecturer’s from the private college and so on… They are paid for and willing to be bribe to get the exam questions and many more… The worst is even are bribe to pay for the Certificate of Honour. Money is not everything. When I was attending seminars and talk… they definitely will not talk so much and just explain accordingly to the content…not more than that because they are paid to that amount only… If to explain and teach more need to impose higher fees…So will you think is professional ethics?Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07710484000863586238noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23963594.post-814697748314736852014-05-21T11:41:01.527+08:002014-05-21T11:41:01.527+08:00Tuition nowadays very expensive lor....Tuition nowadays very expensive lor....Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07710484000863586238noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23963594.post-21488009386875195552014-05-21T11:35:31.055+08:002014-05-21T11:35:31.055+08:00Point #4
This phrase is well written. I agreed. So...Point #4
This phrase is well written. I agreed. Sometimes, the school will called parents to give a sum in order for the kids to attend extra class after school. Reasons will be always say like that - for exam preparation and so on. Hey when we attend the PIBG matter we can actually brought out this matter and measures whether the sum or extra fee we have to pay is reasonable or not. Maybe I’m from accounting line, I always be more alert towards the financial statement of PIBG… Usually they will segregate out the annual general meeting report in booklet, so we can read through all the contents. On the other hand, even Nurseries nowadays asking us to pay this and that or whatsoever to raise fund to hold an event and etc… Calvin’s first kindie was asked to pay a sum of RM30 for additional revision books. I didn’t ask any further question about it because I plan to move him to another kindie in a few months later.
Talk about fee. My son is from Keb school and until now they not yet asked me to pay the school fee yet. I wonder why… probably later before this school holiday break.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07710484000863586238noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23963594.post-59705500664196237402014-05-21T11:25:58.302+08:002014-05-21T11:25:58.302+08:00Point # 2 and can relates with point #3
Last time,...Point # 2 and can relates with point #3
Last time, students are afraid of teachers. I also found last time teachers are more garang leh… Do you? I feel sacred too, especially my kindergarten and primary headmistress. You feel their fierce wind when she comes or we can recognise her footsteps too. She not yet punish yet, but already feel the fear….hahaha. Again compare to now. Teachers are more careful and cannot punish the students lor. In the other way, they request the student’s parents to meet the teacher in school and discuss about the matter. So far, I didn’t received any phone calls from Calvin’s Form teacher yet. Please I do not wish to receive that phone call too. hehehe
I’m not afraid to be in the school compound or met any of his school teacher. Just that we try to make the matter to the minimum as possible. I don’t want to complain this and that. I feel things can be settle professionally. For example, attend the PIBG meeting is another good idea too. We as parents we have our responsibility to channel down every needs and problems that our kids face in school and hope the school management will try to improve and solve the problems. I guess this is best way to ask questions and it is more transparent too.
There are many cases out there about teacher canning the students. Not only that, making a havoc in the classroom whereby male teacher will do something towards the female students. This kind of teacher really need to be punish kau kau. Well this is a bit far too much already.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07710484000863586238noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23963594.post-59616064560433604232014-05-21T10:29:54.187+08:002014-05-21T10:29:54.187+08:00I miss to a few post here actually, busy with my w...I miss to a few post here actually, busy with my work and busy making chocolate cake balls for Teachers Day as you know, hehehe…. Well it is still not too late to follow up all the post I missed out!

Point #1
When we were young that time, we were asked to write down our ambitions. That time I still remember the most common profession definitely I will write teacher. Even my parents and my grandparents always said it is good to become a teacher. Got so many holidays, got so many benefits and easy job too, just take the red pen and mark papers too. Hahaha, sounds pretty easy right?
Last time not many people can further their study because of insufficient of funds and probably they need to help parents to earn more for livings and also need to take care of their siblings… So many parents are not well educated that is why they respect all the teachers out there… who knows a lot of knowledge than them… They praise teachers a lot that time because they are the person who help them to educate their children in many ways. E.G: give free tuition to the weak students. I guess that time, teachers also not being pay very high too.
In my opinion, if to compare, actually it is another challenge for those who wants to become a teacher in this new generation. Chinese people like to say “I see you good, and you see me good” too. People now are more focus how high is the salary they earn than spending their sweats to teach better education to the students. Yes they are some who is crazy over the pay and some are very well dedicated to teach the students and really want them to be a success person in the future. So don’t just only measure about the salary but also measure the benefits of becoming a teacher as a profession. People also say becoming a lawyer and doctor can get high and well paid too but do you ever think of their consequences before they can become a real lawyer or a doctor? For me every profession is very “san fu” one, those sacrifices which many people don’t really appreciate that.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07710484000863586238noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23963594.post-11097859742042470682014-05-21T10:25:31.880+08:002014-05-21T10:25:31.880+08:00I'm feeling better now.
